The CalPlant Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) facility in Willows, CA was launched in 2020 after over $380,000,000 invested over a three-year period. Onyx was able to generate several offers for all, or virtually all of the CalPlant assets, including the 275 acres of industrial, agricultural and mixed use zoned property surrounding the plant. The facility, all associated equipment and real estate were sold to a single buyer with the transaction closing and court approved in October 2024.
